Age 19 or less, you will need a parent's or guardian's signature. A grade of 70% is required for each test. Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate valid for 3 years. WorkSafeBC OFA TRANSPORTATION ENDORSEMENT Pre-requisite: A valid Level One or Level 2 Certificate Transportation Endorsement classes are normally held on the following day of a Level 1 course. Other dates may be arranged if a full class (minimum 12 students) is booked. This is an 8 hour course. This course covers the following: Patient handling and lifting techniques, how to transport injured workers on a spine-board or in a basket stretcher, how to treat patients while in transit, on an aircraft or in a vehicle. Minimum students per class is 6. Maximum is 12. Cost: $90.00 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
This is an 35 Hour course. The course is taken over a one week period. This course covers the following: Managing critical intervention in many emergency situations, learn and demonstrate the Priority Action Approach, as well as C-Spine, AED. Minimum students per class is 6. Maximum is 18. Cost: $580.00 Monday to Friday - 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
WorkSafeBC OFA LEVEL 3 - TWO WEEK This is a 70 hour course. The course is taken over a 2 week period or a 5 week period. This course covers the following: Everything in level 2 course with more medical depth plus boarding and transport, principles of splinting. Minimum students per class is 6. Maximum is 18. Cost: $700.00 Monday to Friday - 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
WorkSafeBC OFA LEVEL 3 - FIVE WEEK COURSE Tuesdays & Thursdays - 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm Saturdays - 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
WCB OFA LEVEL THREE RECERT - ONE WEEK This course is for anyone with a previous OFA Level 3 Certificate not expired more than 2 years or holds a current Level 3 Certificate coming up for renewal. Students for this course are required to do many hours of home study. It is a review of all the topics covered in OFA Level 3. Minimum 6 students for the course to run and it needs to be prepaid. Course length: 1 week. Cost: $590.00 Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:30pm
This course covers the following: Manage adult, child and infant airway, breathing and circulatory emergencies. Minimum 8 students for class to run. Maximum is 18 students. Cost: $65.00 Booklet included. Saturday - 9:00am to 5:00pm
Review of CPR-C/AED Time: 3 - 4 Hours Cost: $45.00 back to topThis is an 8 hour course taught in 1 day. For students and teachers who want to learn how to react, think and improvise when dealing with time-priority, life-threatening situations. The material covered in this course includes: Initial assessment, rescue breathing, choking, CPR, bleeding, unconsciousness, shock and secondary assessment. Minimum number of students is 8. Maximum is 18. Cost: $85.00 Manual included. Saturday - 9:00am to 5:00pm
RED CROSS STANDARD/BASIC MARINE This course is a comprehensive First Aid and CPR training for individuals who need training for child care, or early childhood education work, or simply want more knowledge to respond to babies' and children's injuries and emergencies at home. This course covers a variety of topics from basic first aid such as cardiovascular emergencies, CPR Level B, choking, airway and breathing emergencies, and prevention of disease transmission to more in-depth topics such as sudden medical conditions and injuries to the head and spine. Basic Marine also covers scenarios taken from the marine/fishing industry. This course covers
skills needed to recognize and respond to
cardiovascular emergencies for all age groups, as well as disease
transmission. This is a 14-16 hour course. Cost: $140.00 Saturday & Sunday - 9:00am to 5:00pm
